“perfect size and scale- love the velvet”

“Modern comfortable but bear in mind- the sides have short armrests, would have liked a bit higher. Couch is low, not an issue. Feels soft and back cushions sturdy. Deep enough for lounging.”

Design Process
A person in a blue work jacket is using orange and yellow clamps to hold a vertical wood panel in place against a curved metal frame in a workshop setting.
Good design takes time, patience and often, a heap of prototypes (and people) to get it right.
Black serif text on a white background reading: 'Collaborative design is the essence of who we are. We utilize each other's strengths.'
An open sketchbook with blue line drawings of chairs on graph paper, placed on a wooden work surface surrounded by design sketches and a cutting mat. A hand holding a blue pencil is visible at the bottom right.
Ideas continue to morph into unexpected designs that are better than any one person could create.
A modern lounge chair constructed from layered, curved cardboard panels in a natural tan color, mounted on a white and light wood four-star base, photographed against a clean white background.
A man in a dark work uniform leans over a metal frame, applying a clear adhesive patch with a white and blue applicator to a beige fabric surface on the frame. The setting appears to be a workshop or studio with tools and equipment in the background.
Before you see anything from us, we’ve already seen it a hundred times. We’ve sketched it, discussed it (endlessly) and built prototypes to test its scale, proportion, feel—every inch of it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How firm are the seat and back cushions, and do they maintain shape with daily use?

The cushions offer a medium to medium-soft feel, designed to balance comfort with support. They provide a relaxed sit without feeling overly sink-in. With regular use, the cushions will naturally soften slightly, but high-quality foam and fill help them maintain their shape. Occasional fluffing and rotation will extend their longevity.
Are the cushion covers removable and professionally cleanable, and can replacements be ordered?

Yes, seat and back cushion covers are removable, making them easier to maintain. Professional cleaning is recommended for best results. Replacement covers or cushions may be available through the retailer or manufacturer, depending on fabric availability and production timelines.
What is the recommended maximum weight capacity for the sofa when fully seated?

The sofa is built for standard residential use and comfortably supports multiple adults across the full seating area. While a specific total weight capacity isn’t published, even weight distribution and typical use will ensure long-term performance. Avoid concentrated loads, such as standing on the frame or arms.
How resistant is the upholstery to pilling, fading, or snags from pets or sharp objects?

The upholstery is designed for everyday durability and resists normal wear such as light pilling and fading. However, like most fabrics, it is not immune to snagging from sharp objects or pet claws. Choosing tighter weaves or performance fabrics (if offered) can improve resistance in high-use households.
Does the sofa include connectors to keep modular pieces from shifting on smooth flooring?

If configured as part of a modular system, connecting hardware is often included or available to help keep sections aligned. On smooth surfaces like hardwood or tile, using connectors or a rug underneath can help minimize movement.
What seat depth and back height are recommended for taller users who need additional support?

The sofa’s generous seat depth offers a relaxed lounging experience that works well for taller users. Those who prefer more upright support may benefit from adding throw pillows for additional back support. The back height is designed for a modern, low-profile look rather than full upper-back support.
Does the frame construction allow the sofa to be moved frequently without loosening or creaking?

The frame is built for durability and stability under normal use, including occasional repositioning. Frequent moving is possible, but as with most upholstered furniture, lifting rather than dragging and minimizing repeated disassembly will help maintain structural integrity and prevent loosening over time.
Is the sofa compatible with robotic vacuums, and what is the clearance underneath?

The sofa sits low to the ground with limited clearance, which may not accommodate most robotic vacuums. If clearance is important, checking the exact leg height and your vacuum’s required clearance is recommended. In many cases, a handheld or standard vacuum attachment will be needed for cleaning underneath.
