FAQ

Small parcel, freight, middle-mile, final mile. What do these mean?

Small parcel refers to items small enough to ship via FedEx delivery. Larger items, or larger quantities of small items, will usually ship Freight.

If your item(s) ship freight (Threshold or White glove delivery), your order will be transported by two teams. The first part of the journey goes with our “middle-mile” shipping partner, who will deliver your order to the “final mile” team to complete the delivery to your destination.

For more information on what to expect for each delivery option, please visit our Shipping + Delivery page

Why does my freight tracking say delivered?

If your item(s) shipped with Threshold or White glove delivery, your order may be marked as delivered when it reaches the local final mile partner. Don’t panic! This team will reach out to you directly to coordinate the delivery to your shipping address.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Deliveries of in-stock small parcel items typically take place within 3-10 business days of order placement. In-stock freight items typically arrive within 6-21 business days of order placement and are dependent on scheduling availability for the local area.

How do I get a Certificate of Insurance?

We recommend determining if your building requires a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for deliveries. If so, let our delivery partners know when they contact you to schedule your delivery appointment. Any questions? We’re here to help at service@bludot.com.

What about Stairs & Elevators?

White Glove orders requiring delivery beyond two flights of ten stairs, or requiring multiple elevator stops, will be subject to additional charges. Let us know in advance if your delivery requires additional stairs, or if you need the weight or dimensions of any item.

What happens if I can’t accept delivery after an order has shipped?

If you cannot accept delivery for an extended period of time after your order has shipped, you will be charged a fee of $35 per business day to store your order.

Redelivery fees
