How to Measure Before You Buy

A great deal on a sofa that won't fit through the door is not a great deal. Grab a tape measure and a roll of painter's tape before you check out.

1. Measure the room. Note length and width, plus where windows, vents, outlets, and doors land.
2. Tape it out. Mark each piece's footprint on the floor. Live with it for a day. Walk around it.
3. Leave walkways. Aim for about 30 to 36 inches of clearance for main paths and roughly 14 to 18 inches between a sofa and coffee table.
4. Check the path in. Measure every doorway, hallway, stairwell, and elevator between the truck and the room. Tight turns matter as much as width.
5. Compare to the product page. Every Blu Dot product page lists full dimensions, so match your numbers before you add to cart.

Furniture Care and Maintenance

A little routine care keeps your pieces looking sharp.

• Upholstery: Vacuum regularly, fluff and rotate cushions, and blot spills right away instead of rubbing.
• Leather: Dust with a soft, dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.
• Wood: Use coasters, wipe with a damp cloth, and dry it off. Skip harsh cleaners.
• Metal: A soft cloth and mild soap and water are all powder-coated finishes need.
