When planning PORTAL, a local sauna and cold plunge club in Minneapolis, co-founders John and Will Drescher sought to create a calming and energizing space where wellness and social connection could happen naturally. “We wanted clean lines, engaging materials, and furniture that balances comfort with a sense of modern hospitality.” Once they were ready to take the plunge (into the design process), the Blu Dot team worked with them to identify durable furniture that could stand up to regular use in both wet and dry environments—without sacrificing comfort or aesthetics. Of the results they report, “people linger, conversations flow, and the Blu Dot pieces make the wellness experience feel welcoming and not transactional."
