Most of us are guilty of it. We've taken the path of the least resistance where home furnishing/decorating is concerned and purchased pieces from other places. It's okay, you can admit it. Some say it's a necessary evil, design- and budget-wise. Douglas Coupland classed their stuff as "semi-disposable" furniture. Well, if you're ready to leave that flimsy, mediocre, and utterly ubiquitous world behind, the Chicago Lowboy is a great place to start. I'm glad I made the investment in such a sturdy and stylish piece. Mine is the first item of furniture guests see when they enter my home, and it certainly makes a good first impression. It was ridiculously easy to put together, and the design is simple elegance personified. The proportions are perfect to allow for two storage bins/baskets on each shelf in the center section, with room for books, vases, or other decorative items in the other sections. They love the Chicago Lowboy in Oslo, France. Shouldn't you?
