PARTNER, DESIGNER
Charlie graduated with an M.Arch, 1993, from Yale University, and a BA from Williams College, where he majored in political science. Prior to co-founding Blu Dot, he worked in the offices of Gray Organschi Architects and Roth & Moore Architects. On his own he completed residential projects in New Jersey, Connecticut, and Arizona between 1993 and 1998. In 1995, his first built project was chosen for the Yale School of Architecture's "Ten Years Out" exhibition. He has been a contributing writer to A+U and he plays competition parchesi . But he, too, daydreamed of a better flat-packed world. He dropped everything to help found Blu Dot and moved his wonderful and patient family to Minnesota. He continues to practice architecture in his rare spare time and has received honors from his alma mater. Charlie's interests include saving money by having his hair cut only bi-annually (but really short). His mug graces every bottle of James Page beer (long story) but he receives no residuals. |
