I use mine as dining chairs at a Strut table; however, I think they would work well just about anywhere. I love their angular good looks. Bending the chairs into shape makes assembly fun and makes the chairs more endearing.
To address some feedback left by others:
- The hardware for my chairs came with blue threadlocker already applied to the threads. I don't feel that loosening will be an issue.
- While I find the RGC comfortable on its own, I did order the RGC Pad as well - it ups the comfort factor just enough for longer sitting sessions while maintaining the RGC's sleek looks.
- The chair is much heavier and sturdier than online pictures would suggest. Unsure, I had to sit in one prior to ordering them and was pleasantly surprised - these chairs feel solid underneath my 270 lbs.
My assembly tips, should they help anyone:
- After bending Angle C into place, double-check Angles A and B to make sure that they weren't affected by subsequent bending.
- If your seat plate seems slightly more to one side than the other, double-check the angles of the back piece - one of them is likely off.

I love the form of these chairs, they are comfortable, sleek, affordable, and come flat packed. I have owned a set of 4 red good chairs for about two years now for a dining set, they look great but I agree with what a previous reviewer said. You HAVE to tighten the hardware all the time, otherwise they get wobbly and fall apart. I have had two of my chairs break on me already, luckily I was able to replace the hardware with screws. Be weary these chairs are not meant to hold a lot of weight ie over around 200lbs? It's quite annoying to have people come over that I am entertaining and I have to warn them to be careful with these chairs.

Comments about Blu Dot Real Good Chair:
I love the design and look of the chair. It does feel a little flimsy, especially if you acidentally bend the seat the wrong way during assembly as I did. I am not using the chair daily so I cannot tell how it would stand up to that kind of use, I just like looking at it ; ). By the way: I filled out the comment card that came with the chair and they sent me a cool pair of socks! Thanks blue dot!

Comments about Blu Dot Real Good Chair:
This chair is in my living room alongside a mix of furniture from different eras, and it feels natural. Things I like about he chair are the shape, sturdiness, and finish. My only complaint is that one of the feet is slightly off the ground. It gets pushed down when I sit on the chair, but would prefer not to have that wobbliness when nobody is sitting there. If anybody has a good trick for fixing this problem, would love to see it in this comment area.

Comments about Blu Dot Real Good Chair:
To those who've purchased. "How comfortable is the Real Good Chair?" Do you place a cushion under your bum after a few minutes? Does the thin, crisp edge at the front of the chair chafe the popliteal fossa (a.k.a knee pit)?

And how do they hold up outdoors, especially against sun (does the red fade?) and salt air?

Comments about Blu Dot Real Good Chair:
Not a review, but for the above "nitpickers" a drop of red "loctite" on the threads of either side of the panel fasteners (bolty, turny things you must keep re-tightening) would prob solve all your issues...

Comments about Blu Dot Real Good Chair:
I have a pair of these Real Good chairs (the high top ones) in Aqua and I'm pretty danged pleased with them. We live in a teeny NYC apt. and the benefit of these chairs are threefold: the high top chairs are clean and simple looking, yet interesting/statement-making at the same time, they take advantage of our vertical space, and thus keep our German Shepherd out of our food. My one nitpick: the hardware needs to be retightened often. Otherwise, these are perfect!

Comments about Blu Dot Real Good Chair:
I own this chair (in Aqua) and I love it. I can sit in it for hours at my desk while I work. I would agree with the previous reviewer that the hardware must be tightened alot or else it gets very wobbly. Otherwise a great product. I would buy it again....and again.

Merchant response: Hi Frank - We'll let our customers respond too, but wanted to let you know that we use both the chairs and stools in our office. Most of them are used with the Real Good Chair/Stool pads to provide increased comfort. This is a solid add on that we would recommend.
Feel free to use this format or email us at service@bludot.com for more assistance.
